Severnside is helping people build a brighter future with its inspirational Learning Programme and Digital Dens and I am really proud to be part of the team.

Seeing the difference that we make to help local people reach their full potential makes my job so rewarding.  I have recently supported Val into work and offer ongoing support and encouragement to her son, Josh.

“I originally popped into the Den, with my son Josh, to try and encourage him to look for work and get out more. What I didn’t foresee was that we would both end up benefiting from the help and support offered by Severnside” said Val.

“After caring for my brother for a number of years, I was looking for work. Edge helped me create a new CV and upload it to job sites. He also showed me how to use a computer and do online job searches, which enabled me to secure a job at Shrewsbury Town FC.” explains Val. “Helping Josh gain voluntary work at a local DVD shop has given him more self-confidence and a reason to get up in the morning.  He regularly pops into the Meole Den to see Edge, who continues to help and support him.”
