Our people

Our people

We are very proud of our passionate and dedicated people, who are committed to living our CLARITY values and making a positive difference to homes, lives and communities.

Everyone plays a part in our success; whether they are managing our rented homes, developing new housing, supporting residents or providing expert advice as part of our customer services team.

In return for their hard work, Housing Plus Group is committed to supporting our people and creating opportunities for anyone with aspirations to grow and progress.

We also strive to ensure that ALL members of the Group have access to internal systems that are suitable for their needs and that we are regularly providing information and support that can help in our professional and personal lives.

Two of our colleagues were named in the new 40 over Forty list, published by 24Housing magazine. Employment and money advice officer, Colin Spires (who has since retired) and procurement and value manager, Matt Akers were both included in the chart spotlighting people who have changed the lives of tenants, inspired their colleagues and transformed the way that organisations work.

In 2019, we used a wide range of fundraising events – including bake sales and car washes – to enable us to donate £2,151.28 to local causes. We also supported each other in personal fundraising challenges; sponsoring our teammates and friends to run marathons, complete feats of endurance and even take part in a sky-dive in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for local and national charities close to our hearts.

Our colleagues donated 120 Easter Eggs to local communities in April 2019 and in December of the same year, we delivered more than 80kg of donated food to the Cannock & District Food Donation Centre in Chadsmoor and Highfields Community Foodbank in Stafford.
