Helping people take their first steps into a rewarding career gives me a huge sense of achievement and pride in the work I do. Kaz is a great example of someone who really wanted to get back into work but needed help to get there.
Kaz came along to our local job club at Crowmere Church, Monkmoor in January. Having recently moved into one of our homes, she had heard about the support we offered from her neighbours.
I’m very proud of Severnside’s outstanding learning programme and the support we provide to help people build their confidence, skills and work experience. A key element of the programme is our grant funding, which empowers people to reach their full potential.
Imogen found out about this grant funding opportunity when she picked up a copy of our learning programme. She successfully secured funding to complete two beauty courses, which have helped her feel more optimistic for the future.
The Prince's Trust Team Programme is part of our Learning Programme, designed to offer training and support that can help you develop new skills or build on those you already have. Brooke Bownes went along to the culmination of the 12-week Team Programme to watch the presentations and find out more.
The best part of my job is empowering people to reach their full potential. It’s been a real privilege to see Josh grow in self-confidence and become focused on his career goals. I started supporting Josh during the Prince’s Trust employability skills week, when Severnside run CV writing and finding employment workshops, along with delivering mock-interviews.

Severnside work in partnership with the Prince’s Trust to help young people in our communities get their lives back on track. Watching her flourish and become a calm and confident young lady makes me feel very proud to be part of such a great team.
Recently we have made several changes to our services in Shropshire and Staffordshire, including a new gas contractor, out-of-hours call handler and updated opening hours. Watch the video below to find out more.
Severnside is helping people build a brighter future with its inspirational Learning Programme and Digital Dens and I am really proud to be part of the team.
Seeing the difference that we make to help local people reach their full potential makes my job so rewarding. I have recently supported Val into work and offer ongoing support and encouragement to her son, Josh.

It’s National Apprenticeship Week and we are delighted to celebrate this showcase for vocational training, particularly in Property Plus, where apprentices now make up 12 percent of our workforce.
Apprentices work within electrical, home improvement, facilities management and administrative functions in Property Plus, with opportunities now available for ambitious people wanting to become plumbers, electricians, carpenters and heating engineers.
