Merry Christmas from Housing Plus Group
As 2023 draws to a close, the people and communities we serve continue to face deep economic and social challenges. At this time, the affordable homes, care and support that we provide are even more important and we are delivering services inspired and guided by our core values.
Communication
We are offering customers more ways to communicate with us, at a time that suits them. This year we launched a chatbot on our website and we will soon introduce a new customer portal.
Learning
We are recruiting apprentices and investing in rewarding careers for our employees. This year, that commitment to providing a great place to work resulted in Best Companies recognition for the first time.
Accountable
We have expanded the Customer Partnership Panel in our drive to improve services and become more accountable to our tenants. This year we also benchmarked the quality of our services, becoming national finalists in a series of prestigious awards.
Respectful
We are respectful of the difficulties faced by our customers. This year we opened our third community hub – our first in Staffordshire. We are also reducing heating costs for families by making homes more energy efficient as part of our decarbonisation project.
Inclusive
Our outright sale developments in Cheslyn Hay and Perton are supporting the continued provision of much-needed additional social housing. This year, we celebrated the success of an overseas recruitment project with a vibrant International Day at our nursing home in Church Stretton.
Trust
We are improving our systems and earning the trust of customers. This year we are investing in our housing management and data management functions, to deliver key benefits in 2024.
You
We are demonstrating to partner organisations, customers and colleagues that we put you first. This year, we spent £30m with local suppliers, worked with parish councils to address housing needs and awarded Homes Plus My Community Fund grants to support volunteers, foodbanks and community organisations making a positive difference throughout Staffordshire and Shropshire.
