Money Matters Outreach Coordinator enhances support to customers

Over recent months, we’ve continued to strengthen the support available to customers through our Money Matters outreach work, helping people navigate the ongoing pressures of the cost of living.

A key part of this has been the work of Sharon Sinclair, our Money Matters Outreach Coordinator, who has been out in the community providing one-to-one support.

Sharon helps residents with a range of issues including managing rising household costs, dealing with debt and accessing the right financial advice at the right time. 

Sharon said: “My role is all about offering practical, friendly support to help people understand their options and feel more in control of their finances. 

“With the cost of living continuing to rise, it’s more important than ever to reach out – especially to those who might not always know where to turn.” 

Over the past few months, Sharon has been getting involved right across the community – from tenant drop-ins and interfaith events in Wellington to veterans’ coffee mornings.

Sharon says one personal highlight since joining us was speaking to 900 students at Ercall Wood Academy about careers, apprenticeships, and the wide range of opportunities available. 

Sharon’s role is part of our commitment to supporting our customers beyond housing, ensuring they have the tools, knowledge and support to stay financially secure in their homes.
